William A. Mitchell

William A. Mitchell, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2020 in the company of family.  He was pre-deceased by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Newell Mitchell. He is survived by his five daughters, Ann (Richard Hunter), Jane (Art Ellison), Elizabeth, Margaret (Sam Weingart), and Catherine, as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A veteran of WWII, inveterate tennis player, and successful business owner; his was a long, rich, blessed life.  Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to The Cleveland Orchestra, 11001 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106; St. Paul's Episcopal Church Music Program, 2747 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44106; or Purdue University School of Engineering, 403 West Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907. Graveside service will be held in Westfield, NY at a time when it is safe to gather.
