On June 22nd, 2020 William Amos McLaughlin, nicknamed Bill, passed away from Alzheimer's. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He came to Cleveland, Ohio as a young man where he worked as a bellman at The Sheraton Hotel, which is now the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. There he met his lovely wife Minnie, and their relationship was lightning in a bottle. They got married and had two children, Jeanette and Leon McLaughlin. He started going to night school and graduated from John Hay High School. He worked at the post office where he became a supervisor, and also started selling real estate, which he was very good at. He played a number of different sports. He was on the post office softball team, and he loved to play tennis, skate, swim, and play pool. He also loved to travel and would go on great road trips across the country with his family.

Services will start at 12 noon on Friday, July 3rd, at Brown-Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd, Shaker Heights, Ohio. If you would like, you can donate to his favorite charity: www.cleanwaterfoundationwa.org.
