Michael Haught

Michael John Haught, 52, of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Edisto Beach, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Born January 8, 1970, in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of Isaac Lee Haught and the late Charlotte (Sherry) Regina Haught. He grew up in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, and as a young boy he won many horsemanship awards with his horse Dola Quiller.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Maryland.

Michael spent his life trying to help others. He was an executive with Charter Communications, and an Executive Board Member at Boys Hope Girls Hope Cleveland. Michael will be remembered for his love of family and his devotion to his wife and son. He was an amazing cook and he loved nothing more than being at home with his family. He brought his great love and his sense of adventure and humor to everything he did. In recent years, he picked up a love for playing squash with his son, Isaac, and with his dear friends.

His love, as well as his deep and heartfelt care and support as a husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend will continue to be felt through his memory. He will be deeply loved and missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Christine, their son, Isaac James, his father Isaac Lee Haught (Sandra), his in-laws James and VJ Richey, his grandmother Mildred Greene (John Greene his grandfather is deceased), his siblings LeeAnn Haught, Timothy Haught, Rachel Haught Oyler (Nathan), and nieces and nephews Skylah, Miakoda, Lilah, and Rylan Haught.

The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to The Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island, 2164 SC-174, Edisto Island, SC 29438; Boys Hope Girls Hope Cleveland, 9619 Garfield Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44125 or Edwins Leadership, 13101 Shaker Blvd., Cleveland., OH 44120 .

Family and friends will be received Friday, April 1st. from 2pm to 5pm at BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH 44120, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 5pm which will be live streamed by a link in this web page.
