Victoria Vance

Victoria “Vickie” Vance was born July 15, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in the Ludlow neighborhood and attended Shaker Heights city schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and her Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. She worked as a Licensed Independent Social Worker her entire career, at Kaiser, University Hospitals and MetroHealth. She loved her work and touched many clients with her kindness, patience, positivity and professionalism. Vickie was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she attended weekly services.  In addition to being a devoted daughter and sister, Vickie was an exceptional aunt to Jordan and Spencer, making many trips to California to shower them with love and time and her positive energy. Every birthday and holiday, they could look forward to a box full of individually wrapped gifts, because Vickie loved to shop! She was also a dog mom to Colton, her 10 year old schnauzer. Vickie spent her spare time shopping, reading, decorating her home for Christmas, attending plays and movies with her mother and friends and spreading her light and love to everyone she encountered.  She is survived by her mother RuthAnn Vance-Lane, her sister Lori Silvers, her brother-in-law Richard Silvers, their children Jordan and Spencer Silvers and many lifelong friends, neighbors and associates.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 23 at 1 PM at Brown-Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH 44120.
