Susan Greenslade Dippel

Susan “Susie” Dippel, of Bainbridge, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on October 4, 2026. Born on November 24, 1961 to the late Victor and Dorothy Greenslade, Susie was raised in Shaker Heights graduating from Shaker Heights High School before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marietta College. During her college years, she became a cherished member of the TEP house, where she formed lifelong friendships and made memories that remained special to her throughout the years.

Susie dedicated 40 years of her professional life to Tomlin Corporation, where she served as Vice President.

Susie and the love of her life, Rob, shared 42 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a family, a business and a dream life. Susie and Rob shared a love of live music, dinners out at local small businesses and simply enjoying each other’s company! Some of their happiest memories were made spending time at their neighborhood lake with their sheltie, Jazzy, and exploring Caribbean islands. Susie especially loved St. John, snorkeling, and the slower pace and beauty of island life. She had an appreciation for nature wherever she was, finding joy in being outdoors, watching animals, and taking in the little moments.

Above all, Susie loved her family. She was a devoted mother to Alison and Bob (Abby) and Nana to John, Victor, Grace and Annabelle Dippel. Watching her children and grandchildren grow brought an immeasurable amount of joy to her life, and she treasured the time spent together, the traditions they created and the memories made. Susie also deeply loved and was loved by her siblings, Richard (Ernie) Greenslade, Emily Gielink, Betsy (Stan) Hockey, sister-in-law, Kim Bucio, and her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Susie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, unwavering positivity, warmth, and genuine care for others. She had a natural curiosity about the lives of those around her, always interested in their stories and what mattered to them. She cared deeply and loved simply—finding joy in the people she loved, the beauty of nature, and the everyday moments that made life meaningful. Susie was a true family woman whose love, kindness, and presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Dorothy Greenslade, in-laws, Robert and Grace Dippel and, brother-in-law, Jerry Gielink.

A private service will be held in the coming weeks with a celebration of life in the spring. Details will be shared when available. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susie's memory to the American Brain Tumor Association at ABTA.org.
