Robert Jamieson

Robert Reid Jamieson, 74, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. He was a devoted husband of the late Sara Kay Jamieson (Smith), awesome father to Robert, Bruce (Amanda), and Julia Jamieson, joyful grandparent to Hadley, Roger, Evelyn, Juniper and Indigo, and dear brother to the late Gerard Jamieson.

Robert served over 40 years in the steel industry retiring as Safety Manager at Gibraltar Strip Steel, and also served as a part time firefighter/EMT for over 40 years, retiring as Captain with the Mayfield Village Fire Department.

He was a kind and generous man with a huge heart. Always quick to be helpful and give cheer, he was outgoing and made friends easily. His sense of humor and positive attitude brightened the lives of many. He lived and enjoyed life to the fullest.

A Service of Celebration of "Reid's" life will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, August 20th in the Cleveland Botanical Garden, 11030 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH, 44106, followed by a reception until 5 PM. (free parking with validated ticket at the CBG parking garage.)
