Prudence Wellington Hatch, 94 of Olmstead Township, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 10th 2023.

Aunt Prue, as she was known by her family and friends, was born in Cleveland Ohio on April 20th, 1928 to the late Ralph Arthur John Wellington (d. 1962) and Clyde Adelaide Mathewson Wellington (d. 1981).  She was predeceased by her husband, Paul R. Hatch (d. 1995), her sister, Elisabeth Wellington Ward (d. 1966).

She is survived by her two nephews, William Franklin Ward, Jr.(Mickey) of Dallas, TX and John Wellington Spencer Ward of Edgewater, FL, and seven grand nieces and nephews; Lauren Ward Javandoost (Steve), Caroline Ward Burton (Samuel), Michael Adam Luers, Michelle Elizabeth O’Neal (Jonathan), John Wellington Spencer Ward II (Amanda), Price Stewart Ward (Erin), and Elisabeth Wellington Ward.

Prue proudly retired from National City Bank in Cleveland after a long and distinguished career in Human Resources.  She lived a life of giving as she spent the next twenty-plus years caring for her mother and in later years, traveling and spending winters in Florida with her husband, Paul. Prue will always be remembered for her love of music, singing the old show tunes and standards for anyone who would listen.

The family would like to thank The Renaissance in Olmstead Township, Ohio for their 16 years of devotion and caring for Prue, and Crossroads Hospice who in the end provided extraordinary care and support.

Prue will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery in Rindge, New Hampshire, alongside her parents, sister, and husband.
