Michael Partington

Michael Mehling Partington, age 82 of Cleveland Heights, OH passed away on April 21, 2022.  Michael was a much loved son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and loyal friend to many.  A life-long athlete (10 marathons), he was a career academic librarian, a dedicated reference librarian and a proud supporter of the theater arts program at Case Western Reserve University. Michael was a beloved husband of 59 years to Margaret “Peggy” Partington (nee Leunk) of Cleveland Hts., OH.  He was the loving father of Lydia Ishikawa (Shohei) and Jonathan Partington (Michelle Petrus).  He was a dear grandfather to Julia May-Harris (Sterling), Charles May (Morgan Kiener) and a great-grandfather of Andrea Harris.  The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to Friends of Theater (MFA Program CWRU), 10900 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106;  a graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 15 at The Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH.  Friends may meet at the cemetery’s Mayfield Gate prior to the service for procession.  Reception to follow at a location to be announced at the graveside service.
