Mary Elizabeth Perotti, known to friends and family as “Beth”, passed away unexpectedly on May 5th, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was 55 years old.
Beth and her twin sister Priscilla were born on June 9, 1966 in Mt Laurel, NJ. Beth grew up on Chadbourne Rd in Shaker Heights, Ohio, graduating from Shaker Heights High School in the class of 1984.
While raising her daughter Hannah, she worked as a barber on the East side of Cleveland and its suburbs for many years.
Beth was an energetic, outgoing, and warm person who valued her many friendships, and had a quick sense of humor and a great love of people. Beth also was an amazing cook. She actively participated in AA and NA programs, and supported many in the Cleveland recovery community, whose mutual support helped Beth greatly in her own ongoing recovery struggle.
Beth was preceded in death by her beloved father, Edward J (Ned) Perotti, Aunt Carol Inglesby Rusin (Bob), Uncle Edward J Inglesby (Audrey), Cousin Bob Rusin Jr, and Grandparents Edward A (Ned) Perotti, Mary Kilbane Perotti, Edward J Inglesby, and Esther Hepler Inglesby.
Beth is survived by her beloved mother Constance Inglesby Perotti (Mel Pattison), Uncle Patrick J. Perotti (Sharon), daughters Hannah (Tre) and Patience, 2 grandchildren (Tresor and Kaia), brothers Tim (Cathy Grieshop), Ned (Margi Shaw), Tom (Laura LaChapelle), sister Priscilla Igram (Ab). Beth also cherished her nieces Amanda and Emily, Quinn, Olivia, Maddie, and nephews Noah, Dylan, Tim, Tom, and John. Beth is also survived by many beloved cousins and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 15th from 3-5 PM at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44120. Bright colors encouraged to celebrate Beth's free spirit.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 16th at 10AM in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 12601 Shaker Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44120 (one block west of Shaker Square)
