Born Dec 11th, 1940, Ken passed away in his sleep January 8th, just a few weeks after his 85th birthday.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many.
Ken was born and raised in Alliance, OH. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1958, Case Institute of Technology (now, Case Western Reserve University) in 1963 with BS and 1967 with MS. While in college he met his future wife Pam (who preceded him in death in August 2019). He and Pam had two children — Britton and Dierdre — and were married for over 50 years.
Ken had a 30 plus year career with Channel Products, Inc. leading the company as CEO for nearly a decade. After he retired, he used his experience to share professional advice with others.
Ken shared his passion for sailing, skiing, and biking with others. He enjoyed sailboat racing as well as leisurely sails with friends and family. He was a member and officer of the Chagrin Valley Ski Club. Ken skied around the US and internationally with the ski club and family. Ken was an avid cyclist well into his 70s. He completed bike rides covering the state of Iowa, crossing the US continental divide, Death Valley, British Columbia, and from Cleveland to Chautauqua as well as around the Chagrin Valley area.
Ken was survived by his sister Susan, son Britton (Colleen) and daughter Dierdre (Kurt) and four grandchildren: Miles (22), Campbell (20), Colin (18) & Briggs (15)
