Joseph B. Richey III (Joe), age 66, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Beloved husband of Wendy J. Richey (Karlin) and loving father of Lisa N. Richey. At startup technology companies Joe wore many hats, functioning as a single-man pipeline from conceptualization and prototype development all the way to successful product marketing and sales. Joe was a unique blend of hands-on practical know how with a creative engineering mind and a keen intuition for meeting market demand. Joe held a U.S. patent for a thin flexible heat transfer device.
Joe was passionate about ice climbing in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York and was an avid appreciator of nature and the great outdoors. He held a private pilot's license and enjoyed music, sport shooting, motorcycles, and good food. Joe was well liked in his social circles and will be remembered for his humor and exuberant, outgoing personality.
