Erik Gunnar Fridlund, age 54 of Shaker Heights, passed away Thursday, January 29. He was a fun-loving husband, proud and doting dad, loyal son and slightly mischievous brother.
Erik cherished his family, upbringing and education. He shared his generous spirit, keen sense of humor, and quick smile with many throughout the years, from his classmates at Deerfield Academy and Denison University to the many happy householders in Ukraine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, Ohio and of course Shaker, who benefited from his love for renovation and restoration.
Erik was happiest, however, tossing any type of ball with his children and their friends in the backyard, playing lacrosse with his teammates and making frequent Mitchell's runs.
No one will miss him more than his wife Suzanne, his son William, and his daughter Katherine. He is also survived by his father Norman, mother-in-law Mebby, his sisters Alexis and Amy, and brother Chris. Erik was preceded in death by his mother Priscilla, and father-in-law Jack.

A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Rd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118 on Friday, February 13th at 4 PM. Services will be held in New Hampshire at a later date.
