Emily Mieko Liu

Emily Mieko Liu, age 17 of Shaker Heights, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. She is survived by her beloved parents, Raymond Weiwen Liu and Caryn Denise Tong; her loving grandparents, Chen-Kao and Sunan Mary Liu, Myron Tong, and Barbara Tong; as well as many other dear relatives.

Emily had a passion for creating art, particularly drawing, painting and crocheting. She loved to dance and was a company member of City Ballet of Cleveland. She also enjoyed playing the violin with the Shaker Heights High School Chamber Orchestra and Contemporary Youth Orchestra.

She will be laid to rest privately at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.
