Edwin Washburn Hawley

Edwin Washburn Hawley, 96, died peacefully at his home in Chagrin Falls with his family by his side on Friday, September 19.

 Wash was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Dudley Hawley and two brothers, Dudley and David. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Dudley Hawley, Elizabeth Kennedy, Heather Kingsley and David Hawley. 

Wash graduated from Nichols College before serving in the US Army. He spent his life in the Cleveland area and was devoted to his family and many friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 3 at Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118. Donations in Wash’s honor may be made to Hawken School or Fairmount Presbyterian Church.
