EDWARD  S. BABCOX, III The beloved husband of 43 years to Patricia V. (nee Vanni) of Mayfield Hts., OH; dear son of the late Marilynn S. (nee Sumner) and Edward S. Babcox, Jr.; dear father of Jennifer Grenwis (James) of Cleveland Hts., OH; Josaphine B. Yuzuik (Thomas) of Owings, MD; Edward S. Babcox, IV (Haleigh) of Highland Hts., OH; dear step-father of Kristin A. Sallade (Robert) of S. Euclid, OH; dear grandfather of Eleanor, Luke, Edward S., V; Hunter, Robin, Griffin and Rocco; dear brother of Christine B. Vilas of Beachwood, OH and Ruth B. Blair (Marc) of Cleveland Hts., OH; and dear uncle of Lindsay Tucholka (Scott) and Laura Doll (Kevin).  Ed was a 1966 graduate of Shaker Heights High School and a 1970 graduate of Western Reserve University, where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.  After graduation, he joined the United States Navy, serving in Hawaii and in the US Naval Reserves until 1976.

Ed later joined the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs , serving in the Cleveland VA offices as a Claims Examiner for over 35 years.  Ed loved his family dearly and took such joy in spending time with his grandchildren. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to The American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Arlington, VA 22202 or an organization of their choice.  FRIENDS MAY CALL AT BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 CHAGRIN BLVD., SHAKER HTS., OH TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH FROM 4-6 PM, FOLLOWED BY A FAMILY PRESENTATION AT 6pm.
