Diane Davis Lardie, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022. Beloved wife of 63 years to Jim Lardie. Loving mother of Maureen (Michael Glass), James Jr., Missy Maroun (Tony), Maria Hewitt (Joe), Mary Beth Allen, and Christopher (deceased). Cherished grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 5.

Diane was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived in Shaker Heights for 54 years. The oldest of seven children, the importance of family in her life cannot be overstated. She and husband Jim raised a large and diverse family with love and care.

A proud graduate of Lourdes Academy and Ursuline College, Diane taught ethics and religion at Lumen Cordium High School and Villa Angela Academy for many years. In 1989, she changed her focus to organizing for health care justice. She helped found and served as Executive Director of several, local, state and national organizations, including the Universal Health Care Action Network (UHCAN).

Diane was a founding member of The Community of Christ the Servant, a Catholic community of service and worship.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 11 AM at Forest Hill Church, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118 (corner of Lee Road and Monticello Blvd.).  Followed by refreshments in Fellowship Hall.
