Barbara Wayne

BARBARA L. WAYNE (nee Levitt) age 82 of Cleveland, Ohio was the beloved wife of the late Richard Wayne; the loving mother of Howard (Madelon) of Columbus, OH; Jonathan (Nancy) of Fairview park, OH and Laura Powell (Richard) of Mayfield Hts., OH and the beloved grandmother of Katie, Andrew and Elizabeth. She was the daughter of the late Nat and Miriam Levitt of Painesville, OH. Barbara was the sister of the late Martin Levitt and Lorna Levitt Aron.   Barbara was a 1951 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, continuing on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1955, Summa Cum Laude at The Ohio State University. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and also served as president of the Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. She was an active member of Fairmont Temple (Anshe Chesed) and along with her business partner ran The Second Story Exchange, a popular consignment store on Larchmere Avenue near Shaker Square. After retiring, she volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Clinic. In lieu of flowers or donations, please tell someone you love that you love them, apologize to someone you may have wronged and most of all, enjoy your life. Family services will be held.
