Melissa Johnston

Melissa Johnston was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and attended Texas Christian University on a Cleveland Clinic scholarship. She obtained her degree in nursing with multiple postgraduate degrees. After the Clinic, Melissa worked at various Cleveland area hospitals with a focus on infant and child services. She returned to University Hospital on the organ transplant team as the phone maintenance coordinator.

Melissa also did an outreach program in Kentucky aimed at the underserved. She also rescued a large number of stray dogs and cats and continued to support a local shelter.

Melissa was always dedicated to her family, with immeasurable support to her mother and father in their later years.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 14, at Greenwood Cemetery, PA.
