David Sauer

May 25, 1951 — January 8, 2017

Most beloved and cherished husband of Antonia (Pandon) of South Euclid, OH, passed away surrounded by his family on January 8, 2017 following a brief illness. Loving son-in-law of Angela Costantino (Pandon) (Deceased). Dear brother-in-law of Joel Pandon and Keith and Gina (Pandon) Snyder. Son of Michael and Betty (Sims) (Deceased) of Topeka, Kansas, formerly of Mayfield Village, OH.

Born in Mansfield, OH and raised in Cleveland, David graduated from Brush High School, the Huron Road Hospital School of X-Ray Technology and Hiram College. He began working at Huron Road Hospital, where he was promoted to Supervisor within the X-Ray department. Following, David held several key positions with various organizations who specialize in the development and distribution of radiographic equipment, an imaging technique that uses electromagnetic radiation to view the internal structure, density and composition of the human body. David was a pioneer in understanding this medical technology and as a result travelled the world bringing this advanced technology to Asia, Australia and most countries in Europe.

Anyone who knew David understands that his favorite times were spent with his wife Antonia, and their beloved English Springer Spaniels, Sebastian, Winston and Oliver. David was a hardworking man who devoted himself to Antonia. He had a clever sense of humor and loved helping others; he was a kind, gentle and decent man of great integrity. David was a good friend to many and a great neighbor. He was a voracious reader with a specific interest in American history.

A Celebration Dinner for David is being planned by Antonia to be held in the near future, where memories of David will be shared by his family and friends.

The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 501 St Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.

FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED AT BROWN-FORWARD FUNERAL HOME, 17022 CHAGRIN BLVD., SHAKER HTS., OH 44120 on Friday, January 20th from 6-8 PM. All other services will be private.
